Solar Water Project of Irmi and Klaus close to Hagen School

The Name of the village is called Shwe Hlaing. In this village there are 300 families with 1500 people. In this village they have two tube-wells. And there is no electricity in their tube-well. So donated a solar pumping system for one of those tube-wells. It has 580 feet depth, and the pump is at 420 feet. The pump power is 5.5 Hp and the diesel generator took a half of gallon of diesel per hour. They pump formally six hours a day with diesel. So they used 3 Gallons of diesel per day. They distribute the water to the village by pipeline and people pay 400 Kyats per unit. It is around 50 Gallons of water. The village needs 12,000 Gallons per day and now we pump 1800 Gallons of water per hour. And we can pump 7 Hours with our solar system. So it covers almost the full amount of the water needed from the village. And it saved 4057 liters of diesel per year and will benefit 4.38 Million Kyats for the village people. /Min Min
