Second Solar Water Project of Karin and Jörg near Hagen School

The Name of the village is called Kan Gyi Gon. In this village there are 300 families with 1500 people. In this village they have only one tube-well. They cannot drill the tube-well in their village. And there is no electricity in their tube-well. So donated a solar pumping system for this tube well. It has 600 feet depth, and the pump is at 400 feet. The pump power is 7.5 Hp and the diesel generator took a gallon of diesel per hour. They pump formally six hours a day with diesel. So, they used 6 Gallons of diesel per day. They distribute the water to the village by pipeline and people pay 700 Kyats per unit. It is around 50 Gallons of water. The village needs 20,000 Gallons per day and now we pump 3000 Gallons of water per hour. And we can pump 6 Hours with our solar system. So, it covers almost the full amount of the water needed from the village. And it saved 5409 liters of diesel per year and will benefit 5.85 Million Kyats for the village people. /Min Min
