Third Solar Water Project for Rotary Club Munich Central close to Hagen School in Chaung Wa

Name of the village is called Chaung Wa. In this village there are 170 families with 1200 people. In this village they have only one tube-well. The tube-well and the village is over 6000 feet away. And they cannot drill the tube-well in their village. And there is no electricity in their tube-well. So donated a solar pumping system for this tube well. It has 520 feet depth, and the pump is at 300 feet. The pump power is 5.5 Hp and the diesel generator took three liters of diesel per hour. They pump formally six hours a day with diesel. So, they used 18 liters of diesel per day. They distribute the water to the village by pipeline and people pay 700 Kyats per unit. It is around 1000 liters of water. The village needs 12,000 Gallons per day and now we pump 1600 Gallons of water per hour. And we can pump 7 Hours with our solar system. So, it covers about the full amount of the water needed from the village. And it saved 6579 liters of diesel per year and will benefit 6.58 Million Kyats for the village people. But for this tube well covered about 95 % of their daily water needs for the village. /Min Min
